January / February
  • The start of a 30-day road trip with someone I’d never met before 🙃
  • Winter adventuring through Rocky Mountain National Park, Yellowstone, and the PNW ❄️
March / April
  • Spent a few weeks in Walnut Creek trying out suburb life, eating/cooking healthy food, and meeting a lot of cool people
  • Did my first podcast with Steph (one of the gals I met!)
May
  • One-way ticket to another months-long road trip – first stop: Miami 🏝
  • Traveled through the Southeast (9 states!)
June / July
  • Workaway in Tennessee & Indiana – built raised garden beds, dug a massive hole for a sandbox, farmed in the rustic countryside
  • Stayed in Kentucky for a few weeks with C’s family
  • End of a 60-day adventure
August / September
  • Weekend road trip down south to LA, SD, and Joshua tree
  • Started interviewing for a new job – extremely busy and stressful 🙁
October / November
  • Put in my 2 weeks, accepted a new job offer, and jetted off on my first international trip since covid
  • Back to pescatarian (after 2 years of being vegetarian)
  • Ran with Eliud Kipchoge!!!
  • Celebrated my 25th birthday in the south of France 🇫🇷 ❤️
December
  • Celebrating the holidays with friends, family, and reconnecting with my running community!
Recap

2021 was the year of new experiences. It felt like every month I had something new going on – a 30-day road trip, Workaway, a 2-month road trip, exploring France, racing Eliud Kipchoge!! I was on my toes year-round, but in the best way. I wanted to make the most of my remote working situation and continue my dream of digital nomadding. 2021 was my heaviest travel year to date – 160 total days!! I explored most of the United States and continued traversing France for my potential cottage location 😉 I stepped outside my comfort zone and committed to spontaneous trips, unplanned itineraries, and met so many new people! And finally, I left my first job and moved on to something better for myself. It was a crazy-busy, adventure-packed fulfilling year. I can’t wait to see what 2022 has to bring. ❤️
