This quarantine has really set off a few trends that I’m sure many will come to remember Covid-19 for. The hoarding of toilet paper, whether Carole Baskin killed her husband, and the viral dalgona coffee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The drink originates from Korea, and consists of a fluffy coffee cream layered on top of milk. I’m not a coffee person at all, but I have been making this drink multiple times a week. It’s creamy, slightly sweet, refreshing and aesthetically pleasing. Recently, I discovered a variation on the classic dalgona coffee that uses Thai tea instead!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resulting flavor was primarily Thai tea, with hints of coffee. I added additional Thai tea to the milk, before topping off with foam because I wanted a stronger Thai tea flavor. You can adjust this according to your taste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dalgona Thai Tea Coffee<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Try this Thai tea variation on the popular dalgona coffee. Super creamy and refreshing!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • 2 tbsp brewed Thai tea *<\/li>
  • 2 tbsp sugar<\/li>
  • 1\/2 tbsp instant coffee<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
    \n
    • 1 cup oat milk <\/li>
    • ice (optional)<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
      \n\n\n\n

      Instructions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Mix Thai tea, sugar and coffee together until it turns foamy. If mixing by hand, this will take 5-10 minutes. I used a hand mixer for about 3 minutes.<\/li>
      2. In your drinking glass, add ice and pour in any additional Thai tea (see note below). Then add in the milk.<\/li>
      3. Top it off with the Thai tea foam and enjoy!<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
